Dateline: Norton, MA

Dorothy J. (LeBlanc) Ellard, 75, of Norton, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Francis J. Ellard, to whom she was wed on August 4, 1957.
Born in Boston, MA on April 17, 1937, she was a dear daughter of the late Edward L. and Delia (Deveau) LeBlanc.
Dottie grew up in the Dorchester section of Boston. She was educated in Boston schools and was a graduate of Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Ellard had been employed for 30 years at the Boston Insulated Wire and Cable Co. She retired with the position of an Administrative Assistant.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton, she had made her home in Norton for the past 37 years. Dottie’s favorite times spent were those in the presence of her adoring family, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, times spent at her families summer home in West Yarmouth and the beautiful beaches of Cape Cod.
In addition to her beloved husband of 55 years, she is survived by her devoted children, David J. Ellard and his wife Julie of Foxboro, Edward R. Ellard and his wife Jacqueline of California, Steven M. Ellard and his wife Christine of Brewster, Diane M. Chaplin and her husband Timothy of Attleboro and the late Susan G. Ellard. She is also survived by her cherished 11 grandchildren.
Her Funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, October 9th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 8th from 4-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.

Robert A. ”Bob” Connolly, of Plymouth, died suddenly on October 3, 2012, too soon at age 59. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary (Larkin) and cherished sons, Ian and Evan, all of Plymouth. He also leaves his brother John and his wife Jenice of Troy, NC, his sisters Shirley Cordaro and her husband John of Raymond, NH and Carol Sullivan and her husband Michael of Dedham, his uncle William Russell of North Reading and many dear nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was born in Medford on October 25, 1952, the son of the late John and Dorothy (Russell) Connolly. He graduated in 1970 from Jamaica Plain High School and was an auto mechanic at Boston and Cambridge Yellow Cab, Bay State Taxi in Brookline and a Master Technician at Expressway Toyota in Dorchester and Sullivan Brothers in Kingston. Bob was a loving and nurturing family man who took great pride in his sons and their accomplishments and the simple pleasures of his home and surroundings. His true stock and trade was in the selfless giving of his time, knowledge and support to anyone in need and his ability to lift spirits with his unique perspective and sense of humor. His love and friendship was a gift beyond measure and he will be widely and greatly missed. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Wednesday October 10th between 4:00-6:30 with a celebration of his life at 6:30.
